What is PFOA?  Recently, you may have heard about health concerns related to a substance called PFOA. For your convenience, here’s a brief explanation of PFOA and why you can be assured that you’ll never find it in Swiss Diamond cookware.

PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic Acid) is an agent used in the production of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) – the material that gives non-stick properties to cookware and other products. If not properly eliminated, PFOA can be hazardous to your health. While every effort is made to totally eliminate PFOA, there remains a concern that very small trace amounts may be present in the PTFE when received from the manufacturer of this non-stick material.

Swiss Diamond Contains Absolutely NO PFOA

Because of the unique and patented application of the diamond-reinforced nano-composite surface, Swiss Diamond does not contain PFOA.

The inherent non-stick properties of diamond crystals, when combined in a nano-composite, means that we use far less PTFE than any other non-stick pan. In addition, the application of the diamond surface requires extremely high temperatures. Even if trace amounts of PFOA were contained in the PTFE they would be completely burned off in the manufacturing process.
