Inspired by Native American Indian totems and fetishes, these fanciful wooden salt and pepper mills and shakers were created by artist Robert Wilhelm from Ann Arbor, Michigan. William Bounds makes the grinding mechanism.  They have been making the world's finest pepper, salt and spice mills since 1964.  Put the two together and you have functional art. 

This 8.75"" tall mill is all wood and has a hand painted and crafted natural base with larger mocha colored oval shaped dot.  The top ball is mocha.  The ceramic  mechanism is suitable for BOTH peppercorns and salt crystals. And, because it crushes rather than grinds you  will a more flavorful pepper.  Screw top adjusts for fine, medium and coarse and everything in between.

A note about William Bounds....
